My review

To tell the truth, the main reason for me reading this book was so that I could finally be done with the series. That sounds quite harsh but I was determined not to give up on it.

I feel as though I have enjoyed this series a lot more than most other people, especially bloggers. It seems like most really enjoyed the first book but then gave up after the second, so I do feel a bit conflicted in my opinion. However, I am sticking with my original rating of 4 stars because that is what I feel it deserved after reading it.

One thing I have enjoyed about this whole series was how fast-paced and action-packed it was. Although all the trouble they got into did get a bit repetitive at times, it made sure the books were never boring. The constant suspense at the end of every book left me hanging and always made me want to continue on with the series until the end.

The Maze Runner and The Scorch Trials left me with a lot of questions, and I really wanted The Death Cure to answer them for me, and in some cases it did, but it all felt a bit too neat. In some ways I would've preferred the answers to be harder to get, then tied up in a nice little bow.

Part of me did feel that the deaths in these books were a bit unnecessary, but I guess Dashner really wanted the characters in these books to feel as much pain as possible.

These books don't have amazing characters, or writing style, but they are highly entertaining and I would recommend them to anyone looking for some adventure.
