Top Ten Books That Celebrate Diversity/Diverse Characters
Hi everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish. This week's topic is Top Ten Books That Celebrate Diversity/Diverse Characters.
This book has really stuck with me since reading it a couple of years ago, and one of the reasons is because it deals with a lot of "issues", such as suicide and homosexuality.
This book was such a lovely thing to read, showing that there should be no judgement in the way that people look.
The main character in this book has Asperger's and I found it very interesting and enlightening to read a book from that perspective, and it made me think more about people who suffer from that particular condition.
This is one of the most popular books of this year so far and I am grateful for having read it, as I loved it so much and I will have a review up for this soon!
This book features one openly bi character, and a wide variety of characters overall.
I liked how the races were swapped in this book - how white people are treated as badly as black people have been and still are.
This is the last book that I have read at the time of writing this, and I will have a review up soon, but just to let you know, this book is GOOD.
This book features a main character with ALS, and I really enjoyed it, as the friendship is such a strong element of it.
Although I absolutely love this series, I didn't expect there to be any "diverse" characters after reading The Raven Boys, but the discovery in The Dream Thieves was well-done and I loved it.
At first this didn't really strike me as a diverse book, but after thinking about it, it does seem like it is.
