My review
I was so excited to receive this book! Jennifer E. Smith is one of those authors that is regarded so highly in the YA community, and her books always sound right up my street; this was not an exception.
I wasn't sure if I would love this book because Clare and Aidan already have a relationship when the book starts, and I really like reading about a relationship forming. However, that didn't matter at all, which just goes to show how good of an author Smith is. I thought that this book would be quite sad going into it due to the nature of their relationship, but instead it was a magical, nostalgic ride that the readers take with Clare and Aidan.
I loved how the book panned out, with all the different locations and what they meant for the couple. It felt like you were involved in their story right from the beginning.
As main characters go, Clare and Aidan weren't the greatest. It seemed like they were constantly avoiding the thing they had to talk about. I do understand how tough of a decision it is whether to break up or stay together, but they were just being quite immature at times, picking fights rather than dealing with the issue.
Overall, this book was really cute and that was exactly what I was looking for in this book. I will definitely be reading another one of Jennifer's books.
