Top Ten Books I'm Not Sure I Want To Read

Hi everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish. This week's topic is Top Ten Books I'm Not Sure I Want To Read.

1. Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy

I have a hard time reading classics as it is, but 813 pages of it? Never going to happen. I would love to read it, as I already know I enjoy the story, but this might just have to be one of those that I listen to instead.

2. City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare

The first 3 books in this series are some of my all-time favourite books. However, I didn't enjoy the 4th one as much and apparently the last 3 books of the series are not as good as the first 3. I'm worried that I won't enjoy the world and the characters any more, which are things I fell in love with before.

3. Metamorphosis by Ovid

This is another massive classic book that I just don't think I'll have the time to read. I originally bought it because it was featured as one of the 1001 books you need to read before you die, but I just can't see myself ever reading this.

4. Insurgent by Veronica Roth

I LOVED Divergent. If you have read my review on it, then you know that, but if not, here's the link. I gave it 5 stars because it was so good, but I know that some people didn't like Insurgent as much. I still think I'm going to give it a go, though.

5. The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

This is a case of me actually having watched the film before reading the book, something that I rarely let happen. I liked the film a lot and really wanted the rest of the books to be made into films. When I heard that there probably won't be any more films (after the 2nd), I got a bit put off reading the books.

6. Reckless by Cornelia Funke

I quite enjoyed reading Inkheart by Cornelia, and so decided to continue with the series. However, I disliked Inkspell and I ended up actually not finishing Inkdeath, the final book in the trilogy. This has made me wary to read Reckless, but I might still give it a go.

7. Divine by Mistake by P.C. Cast

I have read the first couple of books in the House of Night series, and I got bored very quickly. This has made me cautious to read Divine by Mistake, and to be honest with you, the synopsis doesn't make me interested either.

8. Ballad by Maggie Stiefvater

This choice is a bit different from the others on this list as I have actually read this book before, however I am considering reading it again. The reason why I don't really want to read it again however is, that I really dislike it the first time. It is extremely unusual for me to not enjoy a Maggie Stiefvater book, which is why I'm hesitant to read it again.

9. The Secret Circle: The Initiation by L.J. Smith

Way back when, even before I started watching The Vampire Diaries, I read the first few books in the Vampire Diaries series, and I was so incredibly bored that I had to stop. I really didn't enjoy L.J. Smith's writing style, and so I'm unsure of whether or not to start this series.

10. Eleanor & Park/Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

If you've read my review of Let's Get Lost by Adi Alsaid, then you'll know I get extremely intimidated by hyped-up books, and put off reading them. This is exactly how I feel about Eleanor & Park and Fangirl, but I am taking the books with me on holiday, so I'll try and push aside my intimidation and read them.

So there we go! I hope you've enjoyed reading about my Top Ten Books I'm Not Sure I Want To Read.
