Top Ten ALL TIME Favourite Authors

Hi everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish. This week's topic is Top Ten ALL TIME Favourite Authors.

1. Maggie Stiefvater

Well, this is a surprise to no one, is it? I absolutely adore Maggie's writing, her world-building and her characters, and I've read almost all of her books because of this.

2. J.K. Rowling

And again, this one is pretty obvious, but I couldn't leave her out. J.K. has created my favourite series of all time (if I dare say so) and I can find no faults with her writing.

3. Cassandra Clare

Despite not yet finished either of her shadowhunter series, I am a firm fan of Cassandra's and I can't wait to finish The Mortal Instruments series now that I own all of them!

4. David Levithan

David is a highly-esteemed UK YA author, and I have had the privilege to read Every Day and a book that he co-authored, Dash & Lily's Book of Dares. Both of these have been such a pleasure to read and I just want to read more.

5. Matsuri Hino

Vampire Knight is the only manga I have read, and I have recently completed the entire series, which must mean something as there were 19 volumes! I just love her sense of humour and how she can go from serious to funny in a matter of seconds.

6. Richelle Mead

I thoroughly enjoyed Richelle's Vampire Academy series, and while I have only read the first book in the Bloodlines spin-off series, I do plan to.

7. Alyxandra Harvey

Last year I read two of Alyxandra's books, and I had no idea that I would love them so much! I can't wait to see what she comes out with next, and see if it's just as good.

8. Joss Stirling

I have been a fan of Joss's work for what feels like ages, and I am always keen to push her books on to other people to read.

9. Jackson Pearce

I remember before reading Jackson's books, not knowing that there was a whole world out there of fairytale retellings that I would come to love. Thankfully I picked up one of Jackson's books and it introduced me to a brand new kind of story.

10. Erin Morgenstern

I have read Erin's one and only book, The Night Circus. It was magical and I have been waiting and waiting for news of a new book from her, but sadly, there is no news as of yet.

So there we go! I hope you've enjoyed reading about my Top Ten ALL TIME Favourite Authors.
