Hi everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish. This week's topic is Top Ten Books Which Feature Characters Who Have Lost Someone.
Bryn witnessed her parents get brutally murdered by a wolf at the age of 4, so you can imagine that it must have affected her in her later life.
Although a lot of people die in this series, I wanted to shine a spotlight on this book, and a particular person, as it was one I found incredibly hard to get over. Most people will know who I'm talking about, but I will not say on here for fear of spoiling anyone. (But seriously, you should've read them by now!)
This book had me crying for so long after I read the ending. At first I didn't understand, but when I did, the sobbing began.
I'm sure most of you are aware of the circumstances of this book, who dies, and how sad it was, so I don't feel the need to say anything more.
As with TFIOS, I'm pretty sure a lot of you know what I'm talking about and why this book is featured on this list.
I was not expecting the death in this book, so when it did happen I was equal parts shocked and sad.
The death of Lily's mother in the beginning of the book really set the tone for the rest of the book, and showed how much it affected Lily.
The death of Mary's grandmother is the start of a whole new life for Mary and at first she doesn't know what to do with herself, but soon settles in to her new life.
Jasmine's sisters death is the whole reason behind Jasmine and her family moving across the country, starting a new life, and the whole plot of Breathe.
All of the main characters in this book have lost the same person, and it is the reason for the reunion of all these characters.
