Top Ten Books I Wouldn't Mind Santa Bringing This Year

Hi everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish. This week's topic is Top Ten Books I Wouldn't Mind Santa Bringing This Year.

1. The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton

I haven't heard about this book for very long, but it just sounds great! I like the premise of learning about more than one generations, amongst many other things.

2. 100 Sideways Miles by Andrew Smith

This cover attracted me to this book months ago but sadly, I have yet to pick it up. Perhaps it is because I haven't seen it in any of my local bookshops.

3. The Scorch Trials by James Dashner (The Maze Runner #2)

Ever since I read The Maze Runner, I have wanted to buy the sequel. However, I kept putting it off because there were newer, more intriguing books. I hope to receive this or pick it up sometime in the new year. (You can read my review for The Maze Runner here.)

4. A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray (Firebird #1)

This book only came out in November but it has already received so much praise that I am very interested in it.

5. Everything Leads To You by Nina LaCour

One thing I loved about The Disenchantments was the writing and how Nina manages to capture you and take you on a journey. This, and the fact that I've heard nothing but great things about Everything Leads To You, has made me really want it.

6. I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson

This is possibly the most-talked about YA book of 2014. Even if people didn't like it, they still talked about it. How could that not make me want to read it? Also, the stunning cover helps a bit too.

7. Invisibility by Andrea Cremer and David Levithan

About a year ago, I took this book out of the library and started reading, but unfortunately wasn't able to finish it in time. I do remember really enjoying it and perhaps this Christmas I will have the pleasure of holding it in my hands again.

8. Falling Into Place by Amy Zhang

I have only heard amazing things about this author, especially seeing as this is her debut novel. I definitely want to give this a go soon.

9. The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski (The Winner's Trilogy #1)

THIS COVER. I don't know anything about this book, but I don't need to, because the cover alone has won me over. I need it now!

10. Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins (Rebel Belle #1)

Again, I don't know anything about this book, but the cover is amazing and I know it is very well-loved by the book-blogging community.
