Top Ten Underrated Books in YA Paranormal

Hi everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish. This week's topic is Top Ten Underrated Books in YA Paranormal.

1. Raised by Wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

I LOVED this book when it came out, but I've never heard anyone talking about it (or Jennifer for that matter). I feel it is underrated and that it deserves a lot more attention.

2. Glass Houses by Rachel Caine

I am a big fan of this series, but I never hear anyone talking about it. Maybe it's because it has been out for quite a while, but that doesn't mean it's not good!

3. Evernight by Claudia Gray

I think I read this book when everyone was obsessed with vampires, and so it had a little bit of attention then, but recently I haven't heard anything about it, which is a shame.

4. Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce

Jackson Pearce is one of my all-time favourite authors and it's sad to see that she doesn't get that much attention. Sisters Red is an amazing book and I wish more people knew about it.

5. Sweetly by Jackson Pearce

This is another Jackson Pearce book that I feel is underrated. Jackson wrote this book when the concept (fairytale retellings) was still fairly uncommon, which is perhaps why it isn't that big of a hit.

6. Finding Sky by Joss Stirling

I've talked about this book before, as I enjoyed it so much. However, I don't think it gets the recognition it deserves. This book was the first book I'd heard of with its concept, which is amazing.

7. Angel by L.A. Weatherly

This book hasn't been given a lot of attention, and I think I know why. Even though I liked Hush, Hush, I think it took all the attention away from any other YA Paranormal book, including Angel.

8. Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

This is another Jennifer Lynn Barnes novel, and another book that hasn't had enough recognition. I've actually got a review on this, so if you'd like to check that out then the link is right here.

9. The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater

Although the Shiver series by Maggie has been hugely popular, unfortunately The Scorpio Races hasn't been talked about much.

10. The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson

This is the only book of Maureen Johnson's that I have read and I really enjoyed it. However I never see it mentioned anywhere, despite its unique content.

So there we go! I hope you've enjoyed reading about my Top Ten Underrated Books in YA Paranormal.
